the rising mechanical philosophy of Descartes was considered to give too much credence to ‘matter’, leading potentially to deism or worse - atheism. there were multiple conflicting visions of Hermeticism and unconscious penduluming of its countering in the mixture, too. on both sides of the spiritual-political divide¹.

against the combined threat of Stuart restoration and popularist group uprising, something hitherto unseen needed to arise and stabilize the chaos. what this something was, underneath what it looked like on a philosophical layer, was a partial alchemy². ironically performed by Sir Issac Newton in procession following on from this brief republic.

what this involved was: the m3chanical philosophy of Nature and the sch2lastic philosophy being perniciously fused³. this resulted in many outcomes, one of which was the sundering of the Great Chain of Being into an artificial spirit|matter fel-dichotomy. in part to bind and control the erupting alternate ideation clusters⁴.

this was accomplished by adding an extra ingredient to the atomism of Descartes and Gassendi: non-physical action at a distance.

this - gravity, electromagnetism and so on - was reintroduced to the atomism of the Cartesian mechanical philosophy: but as manifestations of God’s Will.

thusly the Great Chain of Being was compressed to a two rung system. with mechanical philosophy being the lower rung that science had as dominion; theology the upper - in line with an Anglican variant of the Scholastic Philosophy⁵.

underunderstanding how Cerberus prevents the literacy of body and essence by dual-wielding the first obstacle [above, below] and the momentum of the Cromwellian Smudge [footnotes] is essential in even considering to begin the reenchantment of the body⁷.

Cerberus-shibboleths are a primary tool in the perception and navigation of the first obstacle - as they can be used to dispel the illusion of many of the properties one takes for granted as having⁸. this is not pleasant in many cases. in fact it can be necessarily unpleasant⁹.

to briefly recap the last Coin-gated piece: in its modern usage a ‘shibboleth’ is a password or ‘pass phrase’ that identifies ‘in-group’ from ‘out-group’ membership. it can be expanded to mean the terminological neologisms and slang used by certain subcultures for inclusion and exclusion¹⁰.

I had chosen this one, not for its profanity, nor brevity. but for its *relativity*. one can imagine the inquisitors tasked with assessing him utter such in the privacy of their cloisters.

so why did I say this in the age of sci3nce. [?]
an age that rests atop his genius in a number of ways.

Galileo existed as the closed circuit of the medieval-feudal world image [c2] was beginning to come undone. the dissolving of the buffering between scholar [c3] and craftsman [c1] were becoming permeable. and restless. he is like Newton in a number of ways in this.

challenges to the Aristotelian Natural Philosophy were on the rise, including by one of Galileo’s tutors Tartaglia [using newly rediscovered Archimedean sources].

Galileo’s experiments on ballistics not only disproved a world-principle aspect of Natural Philosophy; they ushered in a new mode of perception and conception of the world.

the scientific revolution
and into this era.

but this came at a price. similar to the price of the Cromwellian Smudge.

from within the C3rberus epoch vantage we are in, there are seemingly little or no negatives. but if we look at Galileo through the lens of Cerberus alchemy, we get a different picture. alongside the breakthroughs in our understanding of the cosmos, the unintended consequences of dispelling Aristotelian physics was an *unchaining* of c2²⁶ .
